Privacy Policy
LineItUp ("we", "us") helps groups of friends plan golf rounds, trips, and other activities together. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using LineItUp you agree to this policy.
What we collect
- Account info — your name, email address, and (if you sign in with Google) profile photo.
- Optional profile info — phone number, ZIP code, and home location, if you choose to add them.
- Calendar data — only if you connect a calendar. We read busy/free windows to find shared availability. We do not read event titles, attendees, or descriptions.
- Group & trip content — names, dates, members, itinerary items, messages you send to your group, and places you save.
- Usage data — anonymized page views via Plausible Analytics (no cookies, no cross-site tracking).
- Affiliate clicks — when you tap a "Book" link, we record the place, your group, and a timestamp so we can measure interest. We do not record your payment or booking details — those happen on the partner's site.
How we use it
- To provide the service: showing you your groups, finding shared free time, recommending courses and places near you or your trip destination.
- To send you operational messages: invite confirmations, group activity, calendar reminders. We do not send marketing email without your consent.
- To improve the product: aggregated, anonymized usage trends.
Affiliate links and bookings
LineItUp participates in affiliate programs including Travelpayouts (which routes to partners such as Booking.com and Viator). When you tap a "Book" link inside LineItUp, you leave our app and complete your booking on the partner's website under their terms and privacy policy. If you complete a booking, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We never see your payment details.
Who we share with
- Other members of your groups and trips — your name, photo, availability, and anything you post is visible to them.
- Service providers — Google Firebase (authentication, database, storage), Google Maps & Places (location search), Plausible (analytics), Sentry (error monitoring), Stripe (payments, if you subscribe to a paid tier). These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms.
- Affiliate partners — only the click/referral tag is shared when you choose to follow an affiliate link.
- We do not sell your personal information.
Data retention
We keep your account data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings, which removes your personal data from our systems within 30 days. Group/trip content you created may remain visible to other members unless they remove it.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data by emailing brandonmccravey@gmail.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under GDPR, CCPA, or other laws — we honor those requests.
Children
LineItUp is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced inside the app. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the current version.
